| This house is called "Nido" meaning "Nest", because it is small, and snug with a bird’s-eye view over the hills, valleys and Alps. It was built in the late 1600’s, on the site of an ancient castle fortress. The old brick walls are two feet thick and keep the house cool in the summer and keep out the winter’s cold. We have completely renovated the Nido and equipped it with modern conveniences. On the GROUND FLOOR: (30 sq.mt/279 sq.ft) there is a kitchen with fireplace and a full bath and laundry space. UPSTAIRS: (30 sq. mt/279 sq.ft) one bedroom with queen size bed, and a panoramic sitting room with day bed. The Nido is furnished in classic Piemontese country style and is equipped with: comfortable bedding and linens, tub/shower, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes and cooking utensils, clothes washer, TV with satellite dish/international decoder and fixed phone line. Casa Nido is located in the highest and most tranquil corner of the small village of Villa San Secondo, a hundred meters from the main piazza. Also available, (free of charge) are two bicycles.
